Course on African Human Rights System, 4-29 November 2013

The aim of the course is to provide a detailed introduction to the African human rights system, the workings of the African Commission and the African Court. It will take a practical approach, providing students with the opportunity to examine State reports submitted by State parties to the African Charter, as well as case law from both the Commission and the Court. The course is aimed at students, academics, non-governmental and inter-governmental staff, representatives from governments, and legal professionals, as well as others for whom knowledge of the subject is important to their work or who are embarking on a career in human rights.
